Variety of profiles for glass rods
Wide variety of shapes and sizes
In addition to round profiles, we are also able to shape rectangular and square profiles, stretching them out to form thin rods or fibers. This enables us to create very fine bundles of parallel fibers, for example.
This broad spectrum of potential profiles can be used for a variety of applications. Made from borosilicate glass, the rods boast outstanding quality.

Square rod with pyramid cut
These glass rods are characterized by their blank surfaces, sharp edges, and a high geometrical accuracy. The polished surfaces reach as far as the peak, even the pyramid cut has a blank surface.
Octagonal rods
The octagonal rod made from borosilicate glass shows the variety of possibilities in the production of profiled rods. They are used for lighting and information technology, for light mixing and as diffusers and beam transducers. Dimensions with side distances from 0.5 to 5.0 mm are possible.
