Glass rods & Fibers
We produce standard profiles, such as round and square glass rods, in almost all possible dimensions within a range of 0.07–40 mm.
You receive the rods already cut to a length of 1 mm to max. 2000 mm.
In addition to providing standard profiles, we can also specifically tailor products to meet your particular requirements.

The ends of the rods can be prepared for various applications. The ends can be processed as follows:

- fire-polished
- round fused
- spherically fused

Glass rods with surface patterning
These glass rods are used in medicine for the illumination of tissue. By means of a specific surface processing via laser, complex structures can be created on the glass rods, such as circles, dots and fine grids.
Glass rods with partially frosted surface
We produce glass rods with a structured, partially fine-frosted surface for various applications. The rods can be used as test mandrels for generating a passive backlight when analyzing finely structured metal fabric and tubes, just as they are used in the field of medical technology. Both active and passive light sources can be used here.
