The north Hessian municipality of Malsfeld, close to Kassel, is home to Hilgenberg GmbH headquarters. The administrative offices are based here, along with a smaller, more specialized part of production. The location is easily accessible thanks to the proximity of the A7 autobahn.

Not far from our headquarters in Malsfeld, we have acquired two properties to create more space for production, warehousing, technology and development. After a planning and conversion phase, parts of the production and warehouse from various locations will be housed here, as well as a technical center that combines machine and product development and sample production.

In the 1960s, Hilgenberg GmbH increased its production capacity and expanded operations with a premises in Waldkappel. Waldkappel is located around 30 km from the company’s headquarters in Malsfeld. Today, it is home to our state-of-the-art production facilities.

Following the integration of Löwinger GmbH, a traditional German glass machine manufacturer and glass processor, today’s “Werk III” (Plant III) of Hilgenberg GmbH was established. This has been designed for series production, as well as for the manufacture of more complex glass parts formed from tube glass.

Searching for a location that was both modern and energy efficient, the acquisition of a former event hall in Niederlauer marked another milestone in the history of our company.
