Malsfeld, Saturday, July 8th, 12 p.m.: The fundraising run for the renovation of the church in Malsfeld starts with the ringing of bells. Each runner can run as many laps as he or she wants or can within 24 hours. Each lap covers 6 km and each of the 224 runners has looked for a sponsor who will pay a sum of their own choosing per kilometer.
In the end, there were 2,898 kilometers run, which resulted in a total donation of 12,518 euros.
Hilgenberg GmbH has promised to donate 1000 euros for every 1000 km run. Since the goal of the 3000 km mark was only just missed, we rounded up ;-)
